Class 2 Sound Level Meter

Designed to meet IEC 61672-1:2013 standards, this Class 2 Sound Level Meter ensures accurate and professional sound level monitoring across various workplaces. It features a MEMS microphone offering precision and durability for comprehensive noise measurement. With a frequency range extending up to 10 kHz and an operating temperature range from -10 to 50°C, this sound level meter is equipped to measure industrial and environmental noise, even in low background conditions. The dual MEMS microphones construction enhances the robustness and versatility of the meter, making it ideal for portable use. The meter also comes with an intelligent sound exposure meter function, extending the measurement range up to 141 dB Peak, while also incorporating essential weighting filters. For advanced noise frequency analysis, optional 1/1 or 1/3 octave band filters are available. Whether for workplace or environmental noise monitoring, this sound level meter provides a reliable and portable solution. What is a Class 2 Sound Level Meter? A Class 2 Sound Level Meter, also known as Type 2 Sound Level Meter, is designed to meet the IEC 61672-1:2013 standard, ensuring precision and accuracy in sound measurements. Class 2 meters are used for a wide range of applications, offering accuracy specifications for frequencies between 20 Hz to 8 kHz and an operating temperature range from 0 to 40°C. These meters include microphones, preamplifiers, and signal processors that capture and process noise levels, which are then displayed on an integrated screen for easy analysis. Features: Class 2 Sound Level Meter Accuracy Frequency Range: 20 Hz to 10 kHz with linearity deviations of ±1.1 dB. Dual Measurement Ranges: Sound Level Meter: 30 dBA RMS to 129 dBA Peak (according to IEC 61672). Sound Exposure Meter: 45 dBA RMS to 141 dBA Peak (according to IEC 61672). Versatile Applications: Suitable for workplace and environmental noise monitoring, and building acoustics. Reverberation Time Measurements (RT60) Class 2 Accuracy: RT60 measurements for schools or other acoustic applications. Recommended RT60 for Classrooms: Up to 0.6 seconds for rooms < 566 m³ and 0.7 seconds for larger rooms, based on Acoustical Society of America guidelines. Microphone Technology MEMS Microphone: Shock-resistant and energy-efficient, with a 38-hour battery life. Noise Frequency Analysis 1/1 & 1/3 Octave Band Analysis: Precise identification of noise sources for effective noise control and hearing protection selection. WAV Recording: Useful for unattended noise source identification and enhancing sound time history with actual noise samples. Recorded WAV files can be post-processed for sound engineering analysis.
